Elgin County Launches Innovative Tourism Website with Yfactor.

Yfactor is excited to announce that they have been awarded the Market Development Strategy contract from the Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation. Recently, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture created 13 new Regional Tourism Organizations to be responsible for growing the local tourism markets. This is a geographically diverse region with communities that offer a variety of tourism projects.

They have selected Yfactor, and partner firm MDB, to conduct a thorough analysis of the tourism market in the region. This project will include a review of current tourism plans and strategies in the region, competitive analysis, creation of a branding/renaming for the region, and finally a marketing development strategy. Yfactor is thrilled to be working with the Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation on this project and will provide more details in the Spring of 2011 when the project is expected to be complete.

Kerry’s Place, an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), needed to update the look of their website, add more functionality and overall improve the user experience. They teamed up with Yfactor to create a new website that does exactly that using Yfactor's iCMS and Ytools. Read more about this new site >>>

Yfactor is thrilled to announce that the Texas Association of Regional Councils (TARC) has selected Yfactor and GIS Planning, Inc. to implement its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy website.

TARC is a statewide association made up of 24 regional councils of government. These regional councils manage economic development issues that cross the boundaries of individual local governments or that require regional attention. TARC was awarded an Economic Adjustment Assistance grant by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) of the US Department of Commerce to finance this project.

Yfactor will be designing and developing 24 public websites for CEDS and the regional councils as well as a private portal for TARC and council staff. GIS Planning, will provide Geographic Information System (GIS) Software for the websites, with in-depth real estate, demographic and industry data to help site selection professionals, business/industry, units of government, workforce development entities.

All of the websites will be powered by Yfactor's iCMS and managed through a multi-site content management system. The new sites are expected to launch in early 2011. Yfactor is excited to be working with TARC, and our partner GIS Planning, and will continue to provide updates as the project progresses!

Yfactor is excited to announce the launch of the culinary tourism website www.savourelgin.ca. The website, which was created as part of a comprehensive business and marketing plan that Yfactor developed for Elgin County, features plenty of local information, an events calendar, business directory and the ability for visitors to create itineraries for an upcoming trip.

Yfactor is thrilled to announce the launch of the revitalized Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society website. The Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS) wanted a tool that would be simple for their non-technical staff to update, as well as front end that was more intuitive for visitors to navigate. Yfactor worked with CAS staff to create an innovative website powered by Yfactor’s iCMS.
